Sarah Trotman

Sarah Trotman is an experienced and successful business leader, who has recently been described as an ‘action woman who inspires others to achieve greater things’ and ‘an effective force for good for New Zealand business owners’. Sarah is well respected in the New Zealand business community and is tough minded, pragmatic and resourceful.

Formerly Chief Executive of Business in The Community, the free business mentor programme, and a judge of various business awards, in 2006, she was identified by the Sir Peter Blake Trust as one of six emerging leaders of New Zealand.

An ex-territorial soldier, Sarah is also a mother to Elliott (9) and Matilda (11). She is active with a number of charities and is a mentor for many organisations and individuals including the YWCA Future Leaders programme.

As a business mentor and owner herself, Sarah is aware of the challenges (in fact she calls them "moments of terror"!) that face business owners on a regular basis and has a great deal of respect for the business people, the risk takers who are the wealth creators and employment generators of New Zealand.
