Marketing & Content Development Lead | Business Specialty
We are looking for a dynamic, high-energy individual who is an amazing multi-tasker with a strong background in web-based content development, marketing and business.
In this role you will be a key player on an exciting project to strengthen support for women business owners, which includes building a database of roughly 140 support organizations, building online toolkits with specialized business information and running all marketing, promotion and training activities related to the project.
As a fantastic fit with the role, you are an outgoing person with excellent writing and communication skills, an eye for design, solid abilities in graphics and video production, social media chops and have a strong work ethic.
You are defined by being a hands-on "get it done" worker. Your friends and colleagues would describe you as a smart, critical thinker who gets bored doing mundane work repeatedly, but who will explore something deeply, almost obsessively, when it interests you. When working on something you enjoy you tend to become a perfectionist and are willing to do almost anything necessary to complete the job to a world class level.
In your education and work experience you have studied content development, marketing and business. The ideal candidate will have formal education related to business or direct experience in running a small business.
Job Responsibilities
- Build out a database of regional supports, including programs, events and service providers
- Develop specialized business content and toolkits, including articles, videos, podcasts and digital books
- Work with the programming team to complete the an ecosystem map for the target region
- Continue to build relationships and get support from project stakeholders, partners
- Conduct in person and virtual training sessions with stakeholders and entrepreneurs
- Develop and execute a marketing plan for the launch and ongoing promotion of the portal
- Run the social media channels for the project, building audience and engagement
- Work with the project champion on the execution of all aspects of the project
Job Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree with specialization in communications, marketing and/or business
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Self-starter who needs little direction to be effective
- Familiarity with gamification and social media
- Strong team player
- Masters or PhD graduates preferred
This position is ideally suited for a new or recent graduate.
